Community Resources

Here are some resources we would like to share that also help girls in our community.  Please visit their websites to learn more.

Girls in the Know (GITK)

Girlsintheknow.org is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was founded in 2009 by Lori Lander.

Girls in the Know’s mission is to promote healthy communication between mothers and daughters through education that will encourage pre-teen girls to make positive choices as they mature into adulthood.

Lori developed a 4 week speaker series, led by female professionals that invites mothers and daughters, to start talking about some of life's most important topics, and opens the door to what can sometimes be difficult conversations to start.  Through education and inspiration, the GITK Mother-Daughter Speaker Series provides a powerful solution to the challenges we face raising teens in today's culture.
